And Excelent band from Germany from 1996.
You really don´t find much out about the german band Big Apple on Internet to know. Early 90´s they were well known around munich area and released 1996 their first and only album „Rock Area“ under the label point music. A really talented Five-Group-Band with Bernard Wolf (vocals),Ray Swist (guitar), U.K. Heaven (bass), Ramy Ali (drums) and Mash Winning (keyboard) should keep in memory. They were support act with Pretty Maids on tour. The cover is really fun but don´t let foreseeing the musicstyle. The music moves like the first song „Groovy“ betrays groove with alot dirty guitarparts. „Fly“ reminds me a bit to Jazz music with a little power behind. „Livin´A Lie“, „Last Time“ and „Ride,Baby,Ride“ are typic melodicrock-songs to rock. Hard noisy guitars mixed with power basses and catchy nice chorus to sing with. „Sweet Love“ is a ballade alla Harem Scarem or Subway. „O.P.M“, „Livewire“, „Paternal Love“, „Playin´with the reaper“, „All Night“, „Seasons“ and „Hot Stuff“ haven't to be put in order exactly....hhhmmm, i would say it´s a mix from XYZ till Glass Tiger parts and abit akapella. The only gaffe is the instrumental-Song „Swist & Dance“ sounds like a mix spanish dance and bad techno but an okay album.
