Steve Lee, siger of Gotthar is dead

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Steve Lee of Gotthard is dead at 47, claims Swiss news. Steve Lee’s death has not been confirmed by his label. Lee’s cause of death is a motorcycle accident in San Francisco reports Swiss publication Blick.ch. The publication early today began running news of Lee’s death is a breaking flash across its entire news website.

The alert reads (via translation) “Gotthard-singer Steve Lee is dead. A motorcycle accident in the United States cost the life of Steve Lee. Two months ago his wife was seriously injured in a car accident.”

According to the publication, two months ago Steve Lee and wife Brigitte Voss Balzarini were in a car crash on an Italian highway near Florence. The report claims Balzarini, 49, suffered “severe back injuries” during the crash. Lee had said of that accident the following “A car crashed into us on the motorway near Firenze, and it involved six other cars. As cars were slowing down, the person in the car behind us didn’t notice that, and crashed into our car. Despite the accident, I want you all to know that I am OK. I guess I must have a ‘rock-loving’ guardian angel.”

Seeking comment about the report, the site got no response from manager Jan Gotthard Bayati. Via translation, the site reports “The longtime manager Jan Gotthard Bayati did not confirm Lee’s death, but said: “It is a tragedy. We will inform you in an hour. “
